JETRO’s Exhibition to Co-locate with METALEX Vietnam 2010 in HCM City(VietnamHo Chi Minh City (Saigon))

External Trade Organization (JETRO,) Ho Chi Minh Office, has confirmed to co-locate the 5th "Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Ho Chi Minh City" with "METALEX Vietnam 2010" which will be organized on October 7-9 at Saigon Exhibition &Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City The JETRO show consists of 100 companies mainly in automobile, motorcycle and electronics parts manufacturing industries. On April 20, Mr. Yoshida Sakae, Managing Director of JETRO, Ho Chi Minh Office, and Ms. Nichapa Yoswee, Managing Director of Reed Tradex Company – the show’s organizer, attended a contract signing ceremony for JETRO to officially confirm its co-location at METALEX Vietnam. According to Mr. Sakae, Vietnam’s government has set its target to become an industrial country by 2020. Currently, Japanese are the biggest foreign investors in the country in terms of investment size, due to the advantages in low labour cost and a larger market. “This is JETRO’s first-time participation in 'METALEX Vietnam.' We are confident that Reed Tradex’s professionalism and expertise, which is well-accepted in Vietnam, will make this trade fair a real industrial platform between buyers and sellers to meet and create wider business networks, particularly for Japanese investors to expand their businesses in Vietnam,” said Mr. Sakae. “In the JETRO Exhibition, to be co-located with METALEX Vietnam, there will be over 100 companies mainly in automobile, motorcycle and electronics parts manufacturing industries. Half of them are Japanese companies in Vietnam and directly from Japan, while the other half are local joint ventures,” he concluded.
